Who are we now?

Catalyst Park is an educational hub hosted by the Mason County WSU Master Gardeners that provides community garden beds, grows food for Saint’s Pantry Food Bank, hosts workshops, and more!

Where can we go?

We have created a dream to turn Catalyst Park into a space where community members can enjoy the beauty of Mason County year-round.

Our Vision

The WSU Master Gardeners, with the support of the Master Gardener Foundation of Mason County, Blue Zones Activate Mason County, and the City of Shelton, have created a Dream to expand on the incredible growth that Catalyst has already experienced over the last 16 years. The Dream will become reality in increments as funding, community collaborations, and volunteers become available. Some of our dreams include:

  • A new Welcome Center for demonstrations & classes
  • Improved accessibility of the food bank garden and community garden areas
  • Multiple demonstration gardens open to all during park hours
  • Additional greenhouse & a native plant nursery
  • A community center building with children’s play area for Master Gardeners, 4-H, and other local programs to host meetings and educational events

We Need You!

Whether you want to contribute ideas, join the Mason County WSU Master Gardeners, volunteer as a community member, or provide a donation, we would love to hear from you!
