Thank You!

Thank you all for another wonderful year at Through the Garden Gate. Here’s a recap of what we accomplished in 2026:

  • Average attendance of 70 individuals per week.
  • Out of surveyed attendees, 99% indicated they gained new skills or knowledge from our classes.
  • When attendees were asked if they plan on implementing anything they learned from class in their own gardens, 91% responded yes!

What did we accomplish?

In 2026, we asked participants, “Do you plan on implementing anything you learned from this class? If so, what?” and some of our favorite responses included:

  • “Be more selective in which trees I plant in my yard. Try to have 70% natives.”
  • “Identifying trees while on trails. How much fun, this will slow me down and provide more enjoyment of the forest.”
  • “Respect our soil’s history! Use amendment methods more, instead of buying soil.”
  • “Absolutely! Will be trying to grow microgreens, starting as soon as I can get a microgreen tray from Amazon!”

Coming Soon! 2027

Through the Garden Gate typically runs for five to six Saturday sessions from January through March at Mason County Public Works and via Zoom. Once more information about the 2027 sessions becomes available, we will post it on this page.
