Dirt Talk: Slugs & Snails – Control on Small Farms

Join WSU Regional Small Farms and Rory Mc Donnell, OSU associate professor and Extension gastropod specialist in a discussion all about Slugs and Snails and how to control them on your small farm.

Topics to be covered include:

  • Background information on slugs and snails
  • Main pest species on the west coast and how to identify them
  • Current control methods
  • Development of new tools:
    –              Novel attractants such as bread dough 
    –              Biological control using nematodes

When: August 10th, 2022, 6pm – 7:30pm (online event!)
Where: Online Zoom Event – Registration Required
Tickets: This is a FREE event, but you must register to attend!

What is Dirt Talk?
Dirt Talk is hosted by WSU Regional Small Farms in conjunction with a local farmer or agriculture specialist willing to share their expertise in a given topic. Events are held in a supportive yet informal atmosphere, that allows participants to share, exchange perspectives, and learn from each other without pressure.
Events are open to all new and current farmers!
