Compass Rose, Finnriver, Kodama, SpringRain and Sunfield farms are permanently protected as working farmland by Jefferson Land Trust. For over 30 years, JLT has worked in creative partnerships with local farmers to keep land open for food production for generations to come. This ensures prime farmland is not developed and provides support to local farm families and businesses. More at


Jefferson County is home to a vibrant community of fiber farmers raising sheep, llama, and alpaca and producing wool of exceptional quality for a variety of weavers, knitters, crochetters, or textile artists and businesses. A 10-acre farm in Beaver Valley with two primary focuses: Shetland sheep for their fiber and poultry for a small chick hatching business and table eggs. The farm also has a greenhouse, garden, and orchard.

Owned and operated by Karen Rose since 1995, Rosebud Ranch and its menagerie of alpacas has long been a featured farm on the tour. As Rose is unable to participate this year, Bazaar Girls Yarn Shop will present Rosebud’s beautiful alpaca fiber, as well as other local fibers, in her stead

Egg and I Pork

Egg and I Pork specializes in bringing locally fed and humanely raised hazelnut-finished Tamworth pork to local area restaurants and specialty retail markets. Owned by farmers Philip Vogelzang and Doyle Yancey, the pigs are raised on their 25-acre cooperative farm in fertile farm country off Egg and I Road.

As a part of the Food Bank growers, the Swan Farm Food Bank Garden grows a wide array of vegetables, herbs, and flowers for the Tri-Area Food Bank thanks to a fabulous team of volunteers.

Water Moon Farm

Water Moon Farm is a first generation, multi-generational farmstead in its second season in Beaver Valley. Focused on permaculture homestead and currently specializing in farm-made tempeh, a traditional food of Indonesia, and thrilled to share with visitors what they’ve crafted.

White Lotus Farm
