You are invited to bring your 2- to 5-year old child to the WSU Master Gardener Discovery Garden, 16650 State Route 536, Mount Vernon, for a morning of activities geared to a young child. Eric Lee-Mader, co-director of the Pollinator Conservation program at the Xerces Society, will present a program to help people learn how to support native pollinator habitat systems such as meadows and hedgerows, including methods of restoration. His work has been featured in major media and government agencies. His books include Attracting Native Pollinators and Farming with Beneficial Insects. Eric is a Whidbey farmer and owner of Northwest Meadowscapes Native Seed Co.
