2022 Market Livestock Weigh-in Registration

Instructions for 2022 Goat & Sheep Weigh-In and Swine Tag Pick up:

June 4, 2022*

8:00-11:00 a.m.

  • A-G – 8-9 A.M.
  • H-N – 9-10 A.M.
  • O-Z – 10-11 A.M.

Walla Walla County Fairgrounds

*Enter via Gate 5 ONLY and Exit via Gate 6 ONLY*

 

Times are staggered by last name to arrive at the site (if multiple last names in trailer, please pick a time).

 

Guidance for Weigh-In

  • See traffic flow established by Fairgrounds – Enter via Gate 5 ONLY and Exit via Gate 6 ONLY.
  • Participants must remain in vehicles until reaching one of two staging areas.
  • One adult maximum per participant, all other persons must stay in vehicle.
  • Two staging stations (20’ apart) will be set up for family vehicles for unloading.
  • One family (vehicle) unit will be summoned at a time to the weigh station.
  • Each animal must have a halter/collar and lead rope.
  • Animals will be handed off to Sale Committee members.
  • Participants and adult helper will wait in designated, roped off area (10’+ from weigh station).
  • After animals are weighed and tagged, they will be handed back to participants and that unit may return to vehicle to reload.
  • When that vehicle drives away another will be summoned to pull forward.

 

Guidance for Swine Tag Pick up

  • See traffic flow established by Fairgrounds – Enter via Gate 5 ONLY and Exit via Gate 6 ONLY.
  • Participants must remain in vehicles until reaching Tag Pickup table.
  • Tags will be available for Preregistered youth and will include directions for tagging.
  • Take photos of swine with tags visible and front and side photos identifying swine.
  • Photos https://bit.ly/2022SwineWeigh-InPhoto are due June 17 to WSU Extension at 328 W Poplar (corner of Poplar & 6th).

4-H Market Livestock includes large animal projects such as Beef, Dairy, Goat, Sheep, & Swine that may be shown and sold at the Walla Walla County Fair.
