Cavy & Pocket Pets

 

Objectives:

  • Select and judge cavies; learn about selecting different types of pets
  • Feed, house,
    and keep cavies healthy; provide proper housing for different pets
  • Groom and show cavies; identify and care for basic needs of pets
  • Explore genetics and animal reproduction
  • Care for a newborn animal


 

 

 

Dog

 

Objectives:

  • Exercise responsible pet care and ownership
  • Practice methods of dog obedience training
  • Recognize characteristics of dogs

Poultry & Waterfowl

 

 

Objectives:

  • Learn and apply recommended principles of poultry or water fowl production
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of sound breeding, feeding, and management practices
  • Identify breeds, types of poultry or waterfowl, and employ efficient marketing methods


 

 

Rabbit

 

Objectives:

  • Learn and apply recommended principles of rabbit production
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of sound breeding, feeding, and management practices
  • Identify types and varieties of rabbits and employ efficient marketing methods
