We are looking for someone who is excited to work independently and who has experience engaging with a wide variety of people. The new hire will be working closely with
the Senior Program Coordinator to bring quality programming to SNAP-eligible populations in Yakima County, including teaching classes, coordinating community gardens, and building community connections.

Yakima County Farm Stress/Suicide Prevention Co-Coordinator
Summary of Duties:
The Washington State Extension Coordinator is responsible for overseeing WSU Yakima County Extension program that works specifically for disabled farmers and farm workers. This includes planning and facilitating grant deliverables and coordinating and implementing programing. The co-coordinator is additionally responsible certifying grant deliverables upon completion of these requirements and keeping records for annual reports. Participation in webinars, conferences and continuing education is an expectation. This position is the liaison between WSU Yakima County Extension Faculty and the United States Department of Agriculture National Institute of Food and Agriculture.
