Welcome to the Asotin & Garfield County Master Gardener Program

We are your neighbors and members of your communities. Our priorities inform our efforts to create a more resilient Washington. We are actively engaged in teaching research-based gardening and environmental stewardship practices.


Green School and Master Gardening

Washington Gardener Certificate Course is a research-based, online horticulture course for gardeners, professionals and learners statewide. Format is fully online; lessons, quizzes.  Registration opens August 17 through September 30. Online at https://greenschool.extension.wsu.edu or call the Asotin County Extension office at 509-243-2009.

Master Gardener Events

  • Plant Clinics will be open through September 30th. The clinic is held in the basement of the Asotin Courthouse on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month. If you have garden-related questions re. your plants or trees, our Master Gardeners can help.
  • Aug 17 – Registration for Washington Green School opens.
  • Sept 19 – Info Clinic at Patt’s Garden Center – Put your Garden to Bed. 9:00-Noon
