COVID-19 Advisory: WSU Extension is working to keep our communities safe. All Extension programming is being conducted consistent with the latest official state guidance. WSU Extension county offices and WSU Research & Extension Centers are following protocols for vaccination, masking, distancing and hygiene. If this office is not open to the public, we are available during normal business hours via email, phone, and web conference.

GaryF Gary addresses all aspects of small farm management including raising livestock and crop production in Washington. His responsibilities include information on gardening and small farm production that targets both youth and adults. Gary is the Administrative Director for Cowlitz County. Jennifer Leach, 4-H Youth Development Agent
JenniferL The 4-H Youth Development Program provides hands-on learning opportunities for youths, K-12. The program is conducted by adult volunteers in partnership with WSU faculty and county staff. Carlee Mickelson, Non-Department Head Secretary/Administrative Assistant

Elizabeth Stratton, Snap-Ed Program Manager
Elizabeth is the Snap- Ed Program Manger for Cowlitz County. This program works throughout the communities to educate youth and adults on healthy eating and active lifestyles. Snap- Ed works with families, teaching them how to shop, prepare, store and serve nutritious meals within limited resources. Classes are help in schools, community centers, and food pantries.
