COVID-19 Advisory: WSU Extension is working to keep our communities safe. All Extension programming is being conducted consistent with the latest official state guidance. WSU Extension county offices and WSU Research & Extension Centers are following protocols for vaccination, masking, distancing and hygiene. If this office is not open to the public, we are available during normal business hours via email, phone, and web conference.

Cowlitz County 4-H Demonstrations

Cowlitz County Demonstration Times

  1. Each age group has some guidelines for length of demonstration
    1. Cloverbuds (K-2nd grade): 1 to 2 minutes
    2. Juniors (3-5th grade): 2-4 minutes
    3. Intermediates (6th-8th grade): 5 to 8 minutes
    4. Seniors (9th to 12th grade): 8 to 12 minutes

 

  1. For the seniors and older intermediates—if they don’t meet the time requirement then if you choose—you can put them down a ribbon. But if you do…let them know the reason. These time requirements are listed in the Member’s Guide and are our county times lower the times listed in the member’s guide. All 4-H leaders have received the member and leader guides
  2. For the juniors…and Cloverbuds….they are usually so nervous….so don’t penalized them for being too short.
