Families Stay Strong with 4-H

Hey 4-H families…it’s time for the 2nd Annual 4-H Cake Decorating Challenge! We challenge your family to bake and decorate a cake that represents the “Families Staying Strong with 4-H” theme. Enter electronically with your photos and cake story no later than August 8.  Cake Decorating Challenge flyer

ENTRY DETAILS
  • Families are asked to bake (any size or flavor, box or scratch) a cake. Cake will be frosted. Fondant covered cakes are not allowed. Fondant or gum paste may be used for decorations. All decorations must be edible.
  • Cake must reflect the theme “FAMILIES STAYING STRONG WITH 4-H”.
  • Cake must show one type of piped border and a piped message that conveys the theme.
  • Open to all Mason and Grays Harbor 4-H families.
  • Families should make a plan and distribute work evenly.
  • SUBMIT 4 PHOTOS FEATURING: 1. Cake being made 2. Decorations being made or gathered 3. Cake being decorated 4. Finished cake and all family members involved
  • SUBMIT DOCUMENT STATING: The names of all family members involved, your planning process, what part each family member was responsible for, and how your cake reflects the theme – the story of your cake.
  • EMAIL ENTRY PHOTOS & DOCUMENT TO: fuller@wsu.edu no later than August 8.
  • Photos & stories will be featured in our newsletter, social media & at 4-H events.
  • Families will receive a Certificate of Recognition and some awesome 4-H swag!
