1st Saturday with the Master Gardeners – Fall into Gardening

Join the Master Gardeners from Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties for the October 1st Saturday workshop – Fall into Gardening, geared to help gardeners get ready for winter gardening.

The workshop will be held at the WSU Extension Grays Harbor Office meeting room. This location is at the Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds in Elma.

Topics to be discussed by the Master Gardeners will include:

1. When to expect the first winter frost.
2. How to use cold frames and other devices to extend the growing season through the winter.
3. Learn what to plant that will grow and thrive in the colder months.
4. Ways that wildlife can enjoy your garden through the fall and winter seasons.

 
After the workshop there will be a Plant Clinic in the meeting room. The Plant Clinic team will be there to research any questions you might have. If you do have a plant question, please bring a sample of that plant with you, preferably in a sealed plastic bag.Bring your gardening questions or bring examples of problems you are experiencing in your garden.
