Section 9.6 States: Animals must be under the 4-H member’s regular care and management for the following periods of time prior to the official county exhibit activity, including junior livestock shows:
- Market Beef – 120 days (April 1 in GH)
- Breeding Beef – 90 days (May 1st in GH)
- Equine – 90 days (May 1st in GH)
- Llama – 90 days (May 1st in GH)
- Dairy – 90 days (May 1st in GH)
- Dairy Heifer Replacement – 60 days (June 1st in GH)
- Goat – 60 days (June 1st in GH)
- Sheep and Swine (Breeding and Market) – 60 days (June 1st in GH)
- Cats – 60 days (June 1st in GH)
- Dogs – 60 days (June 1st in GH)
- Cavies – 45 days (June 15th in GH)
- Rabbits and Poultry – 45 days (June 15th in GH)
Animals raised by the 4-H member from birth or hatching are exempt from the minimum time periods.
