The Education Series

Master Gardeners conduct a series of free seminars at the Master Gardener Educational Garden at Greenbank Farm from May through October each year. Topics include vegetable gardening, composting, integrated pest management techniques, water management, fruit tree management and proper plant selection and maintenance for success in Island County growing conditions.

Whidbey Gardening Workshop

Hosted by the Island County Master Gardener Foundation, the Whidbey Gardening Workshop has educated and inspired gardeners from Whidbey Island and beyond for more than 30 years. Each March, the workshop offers a full day of classes from expert instructors on all aspects of gardening. Gardeners ranging from beginner to advanced can choose from classes on garden care, maintenance and design with a focus on sustainability and the growing conditions in our maritime environment. Island County Master Gardener Foundation Continuing Education Series

Each month, the Island County Master Gardener Foundation supports our volunteers and the general public by hosting a free gardening presentation. Learn more about the Foundation and the presentation schedule.

Island County Master Gardener Foundation Plant Sale

The annual Island County Master Gardener Plant Sale takes place the Saturday before Mother’s Day at Greenbank Farm in Barn A and at Camaloch Chalet on Camano Island. Shop for perennials, annuals, shrubs, trees, native plants, veggies starts, garden art and more! Proceeds from the sale go to support our outreach in Island County.

Washington State Master Gardener Advanced Education Conference

The annual Advanced Education Conference offers top-notch classes and instructors, and significant WSU-approved continuing education hours to statewide Extension Master Gardeners who serve our communities here in Washington State.
