COVID-19 Advisory: WSU Extension is working to keep our communities safe. Our office at 406 N. Main Street in Coupeville is open to the public, however, all visitors regardless of vaccine status must wear an approved facemask in the office. The conference room is currently closed to all outside groups. WSU programs may use the conference room but must maintain 6 feet distance and all participants must wear approved face-coverings.

Holiday Light, Computer Cord, and Electrical Cord Recycling

Reuse resources by recycling your old or damaged holiday lights, electrical cords, computer cords, and phone cords.

 

Waste Wise will ensure that they are properly recycled, allowing the materials to be remade into new products and keeping them out of the landfill.

When, where, and for how long:

  • On Camano
    • Camano Transfer Station
      • Daily, 9:30 am to 5 pm (for exceptions, see holiday hours)
      • Through January 31
    • On Whidbey
      • North Whidbey Drop Box and Recycle Park, 
        • Sat, Sun, Tues, from 9:30 am to 5 pm (for exceptions, see holiday hours)
        • Through January 31
      • Recycle Center at the Coupeville Solid Waste Complex 
        • Daily, 9:30 am to 5 pm (for exceptions, see holiday hours)
        • Through January 31
      • Bayview Drop Box and Recycle Park
        • Sat, Sun, Mon, Wed from 9:30 am to 5 pm (for exceptions, see holiday hours)
        • Through January 31

Lights and cords will be accepted from November 27 –  January 31 at all locations.
