Community Forum: Jefferson County’s 20 Year Comprehensive Plan

Right now Jefferson County is deciding on it’s 20 Year Comprehensive Plan. This Spring the plan will be finalized. These decisions will effect our future.
We need the county to make regional food security a top priority.
At the Farmer’s Convergence in December many producers came together to share their challenges with current regulations that inhibit their farming endeavors.
We also discussed how we would change these codes to better support our local farms.
We will come together again to share our stories and find solutions.
The county commissioners and others involved in the planning process have been invited to hear our suggestions on how they can support local farms and regional food security.
