Seed is a living resource developed over thousands of years. As a Seed Steward, we accept the responsibility to preserve and protect this heritage. Local seed saving is essential for ensuring an abundant supply of regionally adapted seeds that is securely maintained. With the help of Seed Stewards like you, a foundation for a community-based seed system can be established that will strengthen our community and local food resilience.
In addition to and separate from becoming a member, we host a Community Seed Project (CSP). Each year we grow out select seed varieties and save them as a community. These seeds provide the inventory for the Seed Library for years to come.
