WSU Jefferson County Extension provides a multitude of resources for home gardeners. Unlike much of the gardening information available to the public, this information is research-based and focused on environmentally-friendly gardening practices.

Who are Master Gardeners?

We are your neighbors and members of your communities. Our priorities inform our efforts to create a more resilient Washington. We are actively engaged in teaching research-based gardening and environmental stewardship practices.

Jefferson County Master Gardener volunteers are a diverse group of people with a wide variety of knowledge, skills and interests. We have over 70 volunteers, who live throughout East Jefferson County including Brinnon, Chimacum, Port Hadlock, Port Ludlow, Port Townsend, Quilcene and Shine.
