4-H Record Book Contest Application Form

Attach the e-mailed confirmation from this application to your record book prior to turning it in.

Record Books must be submitted to the 4-H Office by October 15th to be eligible for the contest.

A committee from the 4-H Leaders Council will do the preliminary checking of all record books. If any information is missing, the books will not be submitted for judging.

A committee from Fruitland Grange will judge the submitted record books. Awards will be given in each project category and age division.

Record Books and Awards will be returned to the 4-H Office where club leaders can pick up to present to members at their general meeting. Winners will be announced in the January newsletter.

Project Categories

Animal

Any animal-based projects including Alpaca, Amphibians, Cats, Cattle, Cavy, Dog, Goat, Horse, Llama, Pocket Pets, Poultry, Rabbit, Reptile, Sheep, and Swine.

Activity-Based

Any project where the primary focus is the activity, not an animal or a tangible finished item. Includes Communication, Environmental Stewardship & Exploration, Leadership, Performing Arts, and all disciplines of Shooting Sports.

Still Life

All projects that are not Animal or Activity-Based including Aerospace, all Arts & Crafts, all Culinary Arts, all Family Living, all Fiber Arts, all Fine Arts, all Garden/Plant Science, Photography, all STEM-related projects, and Veterinary Science
