Many ways to learn

Today’s youth are tomorrow’s gardeners. Magic happens when children catch the gardening ‘bug’ and once the interest is sparked, you can generate a passion that lasts a lifetime. Here in Pierce County, the Extension Master Gardener Program is investing in the gardeners of tomorrow. We have multiple ways to transmit that gardening bug:

  • Story Time Videos. Watch 10 to 20 minute videos at your home computer
  • Grab & Go Kits. Download materials organized for hands-on participation and learning
  • Classes in our Demonstration Gardens. Sign up and attend a gardening class at our demonstration garden in Puyallup and Gig Harbor.

Everything is FREE and appropriate for youth aged between three and eleven, depending on the specific content. For classes in our Demonstration Gardens, all children must be accompanied by their parent or guardian. Check out our line up of content below and follow the links to launch, download or register depending on the content format.
