The Skagit County Commissioners approved a proclamation declaring June 27, 2026 as WSU Extension Skagit County Master Gardener Discovery Garden Day.
On Tuesday, June 2, the Skagit County Commissioners officially proclaimed Saturday, June 27 as WSU Extension Skagit County Master Gardener Discovery Garden Day. The board invited the community to attend the garden’s 30th anniversary open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 27.

The WSU Extension Skagit County Master Gardener Program and the Skagit County Master Gardener Foundation will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Discovery Garden with an open house set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the Discovery Garden (16602 State Route 536, Memorial Highway, Mount Vernon.)
The open house event is co-hosted by all three demonstration gardens at WSU NWREC: WSU Extension Skagit County Master Gardener Discovery Garden, Salal Native Plant Society Garden, and NW Fruit Garden.
