Last week, a group of Skagit County teens traveled to Washington State University in Pullman to attend Washington State 4-H Teen Conference!
Throughout the week, our teens participated in hands-on workshops, explored the WSU campus, connected with 4-H members from across the state, and strengthened their leadership skills.
Some of the highlights included:
🐻 Meeting the grizzly bears
🐝 Getting an up-close look at honeybees
🐄 Touring the WSU Dairy Farm and learning about dairy operations
🩺 Exploring the WSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital, where youth learned about caring for abscesses and even observed how veterinarians assist with calf births.
We are especially proud of our Skagit County teens who served as workshop presenters and facilitators. They stepped outside their comfort zones, shared their knowledge, and helped make the conference a success.
Teen Conference is open to all Washington 4-H teens and is an amazing opportunity to learn new skills, make lifelong friends, and experience everything WSU has to offer. If you’re interested in joining us next year, keep an eye out for registration information
We’d love to have you come along!
