Shoreline Stories with the WSU Beach Watchers
July 11 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am
FreeWSU Snohomish County Extension Beach Watchers are holding preschool story times at various Sno-Isle libraries, and have prepared stories and activities designed to teach children about our fascinating beaches, shoreline, and the Salish Sea as well as their role in caring for it. The concepts conveyed in an age-appropriate manner are:
- Know that all water is connected and flows to Puget Sound (Don’t Pollute).
- An introductory knowledge of the rich diversity of plants and animals found at local beaches.
- Please keep the beach clean (Pack It In- Pack it Out).
- Be respectful and careful while looking at beach creatures.
