Spokane County 4-H Scholarships

2025-2026 4-H Year

We are pleased to call for 2026 applicants for Spokane County 4-H scholarships, in collaboration with the Horse Projects Committee. We will be awarding a total of $3,500 in scholarships this year.

We have 4 scholarships available for currently active Spokane 4-H youth intending to enroll in post-secondary education/training/certification that will graduate from HS in 2026. Categories include:

  • One Malina Strong Memorial Scholarship ($700) to the highest scored application from a 4-H Horse Project who is a 2026 high school graduate.
  • One general scholarship ($700) for a youth having been active in the Horse projects area.
  • Two general high school graduate scholarships ($700 each) in any project area(s) of 4-H.

We have 1 scholarship available for former Spokane 4-H youth already enrolled in post-secondary education/training/certification program. Categories include:

  • One general post-secondary scholarship ($700) to a former Spokane County 4-H’r who is already in a post-secondary program leading to certification or a degree.
  • Please note applicants may receive a post-secondary scholarship only once.

Please use the correct application. Contact our office if you have any questions. Use of the wrong application will cause an applicant to be disqualified.

  • “Graduate” means you will complete HS in the spring or summer of 2026 (already being in running start is acceptable, if this is the year that you officially graduate from HS).
  • “Post-secondary” means you are in a college, graduate school, trade school, or vocational school, or extended certification program when you apply (and received your HS diploma prior to 2026).
  • We encourage all applicants to review the included rubrics for their specific applications to fully understand how the applications will be scored.
  • The deadline to submit applications is April 15, 2026.
