Pierce County Fair 2025 Key Dates

Registration Opens

  • June 1 – FairEntry opens (check the Pierce County Fair Exhibitor Guide before registering)
  • July 1 – Public Presentations registration opens

Registration Deadlines (FairEntry closes at 10:00 PM)

  • July 9 – Poster registration due in FairEntry
  • July 17 – Deadline for Shooting Sports, Animal Entries and Kitchen Activities
  • July 28 – Fashion Review registration due
  • August 1 – Recommended deadline for Still Life entries
  • August 4 (3:00 PM) – Final deadline for Still Life registration

Item/Project Turn-in Dates

  • July 10 – Poster turn-in at 4-H Office (9:00 AM–6:00 PM) (laminating is available)
  • July 12–13 – Poster turn-in at the Pierce County Fair Office, Frontier Park (8:30 AM–3:00 PM) (laminating is available)
  • August 3 – Still Life check-in (12:00–5:00 PM); Fashion Review Judging (1:00–3:00 PM)
  • August 4 – Still Life check-in (9:00 AM–3:00 PM)
  • August 6 – Floral check-in (11:00 AM–6:00 PM)

Prep & Clean-Up

  • August 2 – Barn Clean-up (contact your superintendent for time)
  • August 6 – Vet Check (4:00–8:00 PM; confirm exact time/location with your superintendent)

Fair Dates

  • August 7–10 – 2025 Pierce County Fair        

Wristbands and Parking Passes

This year, wristbands and parking passes will be available for purchase through the new Wristbands & Parking Passes Department in FairEntry, similar to how you register for classes.

Important Guidelines:

  • Exhibitor and Chaperone Wristbands:
    • Limited to one per person.
    • You must be logged in under each individual’s FairEntry profile to register (e.g., John Doe and Jane Doe each need to log in separately to purchase their own wristband and one chaperone wristband).
  • Family Member Wristbands & Parking Passes:
    • These may be purchased at any time through FairEntry.

Pickup & Additional Purchases:

  • Wristbands and parking passes will be available for pickup or purchase at the Fair Office starting August 2nd.
  • Individual day entry tickets will also be available for purchase at the Fair Office.

Pierce County Fair Ornament Contest

Create a Christmas ornament with a special Fair theme and then enter it as part of this year’s Fair exhibit! Choose a festive Fair theme from the list of lots and let your creativity shine.

You can enter up to two ornaments in each lot. Anyone can enter any of the lots. The ornament must fit the lot description (various departments at the fair).

Your handcrafted ornament will be displayed during the Fair in the Grange Hall as part of the Agriculture Feature Exhibit, adorning one of several festive Christmas trees. After the Fair, these decorated trees—will be donated to the Mary Bridge Children’s Festival of Trees, supporting care for local children and families through MultiCare Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital.

Contest Rules:

  • PLEASE PRE-REGISTER ONLINE at FairEntry by August 1, 2025, and your entry cards will be preprinted and ready for you on Sunday, August 3, 2025. If you need help staff members will be available on August 3 & 4 to assist you.
  • Entries turn in is at the Grange Hall – Sun Aug 3, 2025,12:00 to 5:00 p.m. or Mon, Aug 4, 2025, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Anyone can enter any or all lots

Preliminary Public Presentations

Public Presentations are a key part of the 4-H “learning by doing” experience, helping youth build confidence and communication skills. We’re excited to offer a supportive opportunity for members to practice their presentations and receive helpful feedback from judges at this year’s Public Presentation Preliminaries.

Ella Amore Mahoney Memorial Scholarship (For participants in the dog project)

Ella Amore Mahoney deeply believed in the Pierce County 4-H Dog Project and the life skills it instills in youth, including: responsibililty, leadership, teamwork, communication, goal setting, service learning, management, initiative, self-discipline, decision making and dog handling skills..

In honor of Ella’s legacy, we are proud to acknowledge and support 4-H youth who have demonstrated dedication to working with their dogs. We believe in their future and the values they carry forward.

The Pierce County 4-H Dog Project, in memory of Ella Amore Mahoney, offers a $1000 scholarship to a high school junior or senior 4-H member who plans to pursue post-high school education.
