Scholarships for High School Seniors

If you’re a high school senior seeking help with college tuition, there are numerous scholarships available at both the County and State level. This is a fantastic opportunity for our 4-H members in their senior year of high school to receive some financial support for their education! Be sure to explore all the available scholarship opportunities and get more details.

Seniors will apply through 4HOnline. for the state scholarship. Scholarship applications are due by 10:00 pm on March 15th. The system will shut off at 10:00 pm exactly and any partial applications will not be accepted. Pierce County Leaders Council scholarship applications must be downloaded, completed and emailed or post marked with all support documents to Mike Seiber by March 15th.

FUN’Raiser

Save the date of April 27th for the Pierce County Leaders Council FUN’Raiser at Frontier Park.  This day will include a Cat Show, Dog Show (registration is open), and Horse Shows. All shows are open to the public, with different start times and entry fees for each event.

The 4-H Leaders Council FUN’Raiser is the main fundraising event that supports Opportunity Grants for youth, leaders, and 4-H projects. Every Pierce County 4-H member can apply for a grant to help cover fees for county, state, and national training and development events. Certified 4-H leaders can also apply for grants to cover expenses for chaperoning 4-H groups or attending project and program training. In addition, projects can request grants to improve their county-level programs.

The funds raised also help provide college scholarships. Each year, the Council awards $250-$750 scholarships to two to four high school seniors to assist with technical, community, and university tuition.

The State 4-H is recruiting 4-H teens to join a planning committee for the 2025 Washington State 4-H Teen Conference.
