Open House
Want to know about gardening – from roses to vegetables? Want to learn more about including native plants in your landscape? Ever wonder how to grow, graft, and prune fruit trees? Learn about all of this and more at the annual Garden Open House held the last Saturday of June at the Discovery Garden in Mount Vernon.
DIG-IT
Discovery in Gardening is Terrific (DIG-IT). Master gardeners host day-long field trips for Skagit County 2nd and 3rd graders. DIG-IT, one of six activities during the day, gives students hands-on gardening experience in the style of the Three Sisters garden—beans, corn and squash—a planting technique used by native American cultures.
Tulip Tours
Contact the Skagit County WSU Extension Master Gardeners and inquire about our step-on guided informative overview of our wonderful area and are available for your group tour during the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival.
