Preserve the Harvest
Learn how to preserve food! The course is taught online and offers weekly classes featuring water bath canning, pressure canning, pickling and fermentation, and freezing, drying, and microclimate storage. This series of four classes aims to empower participants to enhance food access and security through adjustments in their household food systems. Taught by WSU Food Safety/Preservation instructor Jennie Bryan-Goforth, the series covers all the information needed to take advantage of our amazing local produce and reduce food waste. Find out more »2024 WA 4-H State Livestock Judging Contest
This will be our third year hosting the Washington 4-H State Livestock Judging Contest at the Grant County Fairgrounds in Moses Lake, WA. The committee is looking forward to another successful contest year. In 2023 we had 121 participants across the 3 divisions (Junior, Intermediate, Senior) offered. The 2024 contest is scheduled for June 29 and will be held at the Ardell Pavilion, centered on the Grant County Fairgrounds. Contest guidelines and rules with NEW for 2024 updates are attached…
