4-H Still Life Camp June 22-26

Klickitat County 4-H Still Life Camp, June 22-26, 2015, 9 AM-NoonGoldendale Grange Hall, Goldendale, WA

Cost of Camp: $25.00 or $10.00 per individual day

Pre-Registration required by June 1, 2015 in order for supplies to be available for all campers. Open to youth ages 5 years old (by Jan. 1, 2015) through 18 years old. There will be age-appropriate activities planned for each program day. Registration forms are available on the home page under “Upcoming Events” or at the Extension office.

Cooking (Monday 6/22) – Learn to bake cookies and cakes from scratch. You can decorate your cake the next day. While the cookies and cakes are baking, learn about table setting and making wise food choices.

Cake Decorating (Tuesday 6/23) – Learn to make the frosting used in decorating cakes and cupcakes. Also learn to use various cake decorating tips and applicators to make basic decorations on the cakes you made during the cooking session the day before.

Food Preservation (Wednesday 6/24) – Learn to can the seasonal fruit or vegetable that is available so that you can have fresh food all year-round without preservatives.

Sewing (Thursday 6/25) – Learn to use a sewing machine to make simple projects. In this camp we will be making shorts. Please bring 1.5 yards cotton material and elastic.

Crafts (Friday 6/26) – Come learn new methods to express your individual idea of creativity and style with the available materials.
