Brooks Memorial State Park 70th Year Celebration

Brooks Memorial State Park is having a 70th birthday open house on Saturday, June 21st. The Mt. Adams Chapter of Back County Horsemen of Washington (BCHW) has been actively involved with the park, helping to clean up trails for riding and the camp areas. They would like to have a strong showing of horses and riders in honor of this 70th year event. You’re invited to join in the celebration and also participate in riding the newly re-opened trails that some of these BCHW Chapter members have worked on. Brooks Memorial State Park has the potential for a great system of hiking and riding trails as they are located by GPS and are cleared. Please come join us and show that we care about this great park.Brooks Park is located about 12 miles north of Goldendale on State Hwy 97. There will be signs directing horse trailers to the parking area on the east side of Hwy 97. They plan on riding out at 10:00am and may make the trail loops more than one time if some other horse groups need guide service.
