Forest Health Workshop

Multiple forest health issues have contributed to the Forest Health Hazard warning in our region. From bark beetle outbreaks to storm damage and drought, forest management practices change during times of stress. Come learn about specific pest problems and overstocking solutions to retain vigor in your trees.
This workshop will give foresters, loggers, restoration contractors, and other natural resource professionals an opportunity to interact with other workshop participants and speakers on a host of important issues such as: barkbeetle management, root rots and mistletoe management, and more. The afternoon will provide a unique opportunity to learn about forest practices that reduce risk of pest problems. This workshop covers key practices relevant to the site. Other workshops will be provided in Stevenson, The Dalles and Hood River over the next two years.
