Camano 101

New to Camano Island? Camano 101 will introduce you to a plethora of local organizations that can help you adjust to your new surroundings.
Camano 101 is a free event happening at the Camano Center, 606 Arrowhead Road, on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 10:00 to 1:00 pm. There is plenty of parking and room for meeting your neighbors indoors and out in a beautiful community gathering space. Enjoy refreshments and meet the experts from many organizations that can help you make a happy, healthy home on Camano Island.
Learn about our preserved beaches, forests, and open space on the Island. Find local parks and trails or how to join a volunteer trail crew or other volunteer opportunities. You might be interested in projects and educational programs offered through many of our marine-oriented organizations. Get tips on how to landscape your yard to attract birds and wildlife and how to manage your property’s habitat, soil, forest, pasture, water quality, and quantity. We will show you what you can recycle properly on Camano or simple steps for creating a worm bin for food waste. Share your appreciation with your local volunteer departments and organizations that assist us in living a full, safe, and healthy life here on Camano.
