Ground Covers: Planting in Layers to Create a Living Mulch

Using plants as a living mulch offers many benefits: weed suppression, maintaining soil water content,
and nutrient cycling. We’ll discuss many great shrubs, perennials, and grasses to use as living mulch and to maintain a robust soil microbiome.
