Beach Exploration – Rockaway Beach

Meet Kitsap Beach Naturalist volunteers out on beaches across the county (and beyond) to look for creatures that inhabit the intertidal zone. These explorations are free and open to all. Rubber boots or close-toes shoes are highly recommended (expect uneven, wet, slippery, and sharp surfaces across beaches). Don’t forget sun protect and your reusable water bottle.

4002 Rockaway Dr. NE – This small park is easy to miss with a limited parking area. Carpooling and angled (nose/tail in) parking encouraged. There is a short flight of stairs to beach.
