FreeAre you throwing away food that could still be used? Learn how proper food storage can protect food quality, extend freshness, and reduce unnecessary waste. Participants will explore practical ways to organize the refrigerator, freezer, pantry, and fresh produce so food remains visible, accessible, and usable for longer.By the end of the class, participants will be able to:
- Identify appropriate storage locations for common foods.
- Describe how temperature, moisture, air, and light affect food quality.
- Use practical storage methods to extend the life of fresh produce and other foods.
- Explain the difference between food-quality dates and food-safety concerns.
- Organize food so items that need to be used first are easier to see and access.
This class is offered as a Hybrid: Registration available for both “In-Person” and “Online.”
