62nd Annual Washington State Jr Horse Show

June 28-30, 2024. – Grant County Fairgrounds, Moses Lake

All information on this event, including the general rules, schedule of events, record book scoresheet & entry forms; can be found by downloading the entry form packet (PDF).

Entry deadline – All entries must be postmarked June 9 by USPS or June 17 by email with check postmark, 2024. No refunds after June 17, 2024, without Veterinarian or Doctor’s note!

Washington State Classic Open Horse Show

June 29-30, 2024. – Grant County Fairgrounds, Moses Lake

Horsemanship for Gaming & Performance with Liz Martinez

8:00 am – 5:00 pm (includes 1 hour lunch). 8 hour class – $85. Does NOT include the stall. 12 horse limit. Pre-entry required & due June 20, 2024. More information can be found by downloading the Horsemanship for Gaming & Performance pre-entry form (PDF).

Ranch Horse Clinic with Sue Sultze

6 horse limit. Stall NOT included. Pre-paid entry required & due June 17, 2024. More information can be found by downloading the Ranch Horse Clinic pre-entry form (PDF).

Class 1 – 8:00 – 10:00 am Beginner ranch Riding

Class 2 – 10:00 am – Noon Beginner Ranch Obstacle

West Valley Fair Horse Show

July 15, 2024. – 3100 South Wiley Rd. Yakima, WA. 98908

West Valley Fair – Performance Horse Show

This show will start at 8:00 AM hosted by the superintendent Janet Boucher. They ask you please enter before the day of the show! You may pay the day of the show with no post entry fee if you have pre-registered either by mail or phone.Post entries must be made by 7:30 AM. All others must be made at least 3 classes prior to the class you wish to enter. Medals class entries have to be in a week before show – NO EXCEPTIONS!

The entry deadline for Medal classes is July 10 & July 15 for all other classes. Performance Entry Form (PDF)


West Valley Fair – Gaming Horse Show

This show will begin after the performance show, around Noon. However, if temperatures are predicted to be more that 90F, we may push the start time to the evening. All riders MUST compete in Showmanship, with EACH horse entered. Showmanship patterns will be performed one contestant at a time in the arena, to allow a rider to exhibit multiple horse in a class. In order to qualify for WV Fair round robin, you must compete in the Fitting and Showing class that is offered through the Performance Show. The Gaming Show’s Showmanship class WILL NOT qualify you for round robin.

Pre-entries must be postmarked or emailed by July 8th. Medal classes must be pre-entered. Gaming Entry Form (PDF)

Hands-on Fun for Everyone! Every fourth Thursday of the month, 6:30 to 7:30 pm on Zoom! For example, on December 28th everyone learned about Body Condition Scoring. If this is something you may be interested in, be sure to register online or by email to: kim.baker@wsu.edu.
