September 22, 2025 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
FreeForested Small Acreage Stewardship Tour
Clark County, WA – Tour the land around a 6.5-acre rural residence along McCormick Creek near Ridgefield, WA and get stewardship ideas for your land by seeing management practices in action. The residents were recognized by WSU Clark County Extension for their stewardship through the Doing Our Part for Clean Water.
Participants will have the opportunity to see and discuss forest and trail management, water features, wildlife habitat, maintaining a sand mound septic system, streamside protection and more. This will be a great tour for those that have woodlands or a body of water near their land, and those that are interested in wildlife habitat and creating water features as well as a barrel sauna. Come to learn about how these rural residents achieved recognition as model stewards and how best management practices have been implemented to improve their land and protect natural resources, while saving time and money.
Bring your family & friends and questions you have about your land. Please dress appropriately for the weather, bring a water bottle, and wear footwear for uneven ground. Light snacks, juice, and water will be provided.
