March 25, 2025 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Free
Join WSU Regional Small Farms and North Olympic Development Council for a webinar about the meat and potatoes (the logistics) of grants for your farm business. Have you wondered if a grant is the answer to all your farm’s needs? Participants will learn about the opportunities and realities of not only finding the right grant fund to match your needs, but also the administrative logistics required to fulfill the grant deliverables.
By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Understand key factors determining their readiness to apply for grants
- Interpret Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to assess which ones align best with their needs and vision
- Understand and sketch a grant budget and timeline, and develop outputs and outcomes
- Comprehend the financial implications and administrative requirements of managing a grant
- Create a system for tracking and reporting progress toward outputs and outcomes
The class will mix instruction with hands-on learning and practice to help you decide if grants could be right for you.
Speakers include Angela Glore and Paul Shiefen from the North Olympic Development Council.
This class is open to farmers in Clallam, Jefferson, and Kitsap Counties.
