On day one, we will meet at a beautiful private beach to learn from guest speaker Staci McMahon, NOAA Pacific Region Marine Debris Specialist. Plan to enjoy a beach walk and search the wrack line and driftwood piles for debris, categorize our finds and discuss ways to repurpose select pieces into art. Come with questions!

From there, participants will have time to steward watershed areas on their own if they wish, removing more trash bound for the ocean and conceptualizing art pieces.

On day two, we will come back together to turn our watershed/marine trash finds into art treasures in the form of mixed media shadow box art or freeform pieces. Final pieces will be eligible for exhibition at a local marine aquarium to serve as conservation messages. No artistic ability required… just come and bring a friend!
