Kittitas County 4-H Scholarship Applications Due

Kittitas County 4-H Council is sponsoring four scholarships in the amount of $1000 each:

4-H Endowment Trust Fund Scholarship-Awarded to a graduating senior who is actively involved in leadership.

Jeanette K. Burghart 4-H Memorial Scholarship-Awarded to a graduating senior who has been actively engaged in 4-H Know Your Government (May have been current year, and/or earlier years.)

Barbara Schnebly Shaw Scholarship-Awarded to a graduating senior or a college student, that has not received a Kittitas County 4-H Scholarship, who excelled in demonstrations and/or club leadership.

Barbara Schnebly Shaw Scholarship-Awarded to a  college student who has previously received a Kittitas County 4-H Scholarship and who excelled in demonstrations and/or club leadership.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Have a cumulative high school/college GPA of 2.0 or better or equivalent
• Be a member, or past member, of Kittitas County 4-H.Submit letter of application with application form.
• Submit a 2-page (maximum) essay on your 4-H experiences and how they have affected you, include adequate details of what 4-H has done to prepare you for the future.
• Submit two letters of recommendation-from someone other than family members.
• Submit a resume that includes your 4-H involvement.
• Submit current transcripts.
• Submit previous year, or last one available, 4-H record book including up-to-date permanent record.
• Submit most recent KYG 4-H Project Record.
• Applications are due to the Extension Office by April 15, 2017.
