Lincoln County 4-H Scholarship

The Lincoln County 4-H Scholarship, offered by the Lincoln County 4-H Leaders Council, provides financial assistance to eligible 4-H members pursuing post-secondary education. This scholarship recognizes youth who have demonstrated leadership, community involvement, and a commitment to the values and experiences gained through 4-H participation.

The Lincoln County 4‑H Scholarship is exclusively for awards administered by the Lincoln County 4‑H Scholarship Committee. 4‑H youth members are also encouraged to apply for the Washington State 4‑H Scholarship, which follows a separate application process. The Lincoln County 4‑H Scholarship application must be submitted by April 15th.

To apply for the 4‑H Lincoln County Scholarship, applicants must be graduating high school seniors who plan to enroll in an accredited educational or training institution. Eligible institutions include:

  • Four-year colleges or universities

  • Two-year community colleges

  • Trade or certificate programs

  • Vocational schools

  • Technical colleges

Begin the 4-H Lincoln County 4-H Scholarship Process

Scholarship applicants are required to gather specific documentation to complete the scholarship application. Please review the required materials carefully. You will have the opportunity to upload these documents at the end of the application form. The following documents must be included with your scholarship application:

  • Permanent 4-H Record (pdf)

    • Your permanent 4-H record needs to be a detailed history log of your activities in 4-H, school and community.

    • Include a list of organizations, events and activities in which you participated during a minimum of the past four years.

    • Include a detailed list reflecting a recommended total of 75 hours of 4-H and non-4-H community service activities and the total amount of time spent for each activity. A minimum of 60 hours of community service needed to qualify for scholarship.

  • 4-H Story

    • A two-page story introducing yourself and describing your 4-H experience.

    • Include how 4-H has affected your personal development and prepared you for your future.

  • Two Letters of Recommendation

    • One letter must be from a high school teacher, high school counselor, high school principal or 4-H leader.

    • No family members may submit a letter

Note for Scholarship Recipients:

  • Recipients must submit verified contact information for their enrolling institution to the 4‑H Leaders Council Treasurer upon enrollment.

  • Scholarship funds are awarded in the recipient’s name and will be issued directly to the institution’s Registrar’s Office upon enrollment in the second quarter or semester.

The purpose of the Lincoln County 4-H Scholarship program is to foster continued education for 4-H program participants who have been conveyers of the 4-H spirit, leaders among their peers, providers of service in the communities and who see to advance their skills and knowledge.
