Identifying Garden Weeds: Friends or Foes? – a free gardening workshop at Closed Loop Park

You will learn about common garden weeds:

* What they tell you about the soil they thrive in.

*Learn best methods & tools for removal.

Weeds are the plants a gardener spends the most time with!J oin us for a cool discussion! Handouts provided!

Meet at Gazebo.

We will be outside and sitting, standing and walking on pavement, gravel and grass. Please plan clothing and footwear accordingly.

Seating is limited and you are welcome to bring your own chair.
No advance registration required, just show up.

Free and open to all!

Closed Loop Park is located inside the Thurston County Waste and Recovery Center (WARC) at 2420 Hogum Bay Rd. NE, Lacey WA 98516. Take Exit 111 off of I-5, and travel north and turn right into the WARC entrance. Upon entering take the first right into the garden/dog park parking lot. You’ll see a small sign that says “Dog Park” at the entry to the parking lot.

Note: If you miss the first right into the garden/dog park parking lot you will need to follow the road to the intersection before the toll booths. You’ll need to do a U-turn and return back to Hogum Bay Road to start the process again.
