Rain Garden Design Workshop

freeDo your part to help protect streams and Puget Sound while also keeping stormwater drainage away from your home. Stream Team and WSU Extension’s Native Plant Salvage will co-sponsor a free workshop will provide all the details needed to build one or more rain gardens in your yard to create a low-maintenance, attractive feature that will also provide habitat for birds and butterflies.
This how-to workshop is offered from 6:00 to 8:15 p.m. There will also be an optional hands-on component from 8:15pm-9:00pm. Each participant will receive detailed information about designing and building a rain garden, as well as a full-color rain garden poster and a copy of WSU’s “Rain Garden Handbook for Western Washington Homeowners.”
Join us for a free, hands-on workshop to learn how to add one of these lovely “stormwater” features to your yard. We’ll give you all the details needed to design and install a beautiful rain garden! There will be an optional hands-on rain garden plants workshop. This class is typically offered in January and April every year.
