Farm COVID RESPONSE/NEEDS Information Gathering

The Thurston Conservation District and WSU Extension are working together to put together a buying resource for local residents who would like to support local farms through direct purchase or local wholesale opportunities. We realize that many of our local farmers have been immediately negatively impacted by restaurants and farmers markets closing, and we’d like to help farmers and buyers find each other during this time.

Please check out this spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1V4A4jFKVPQuuQkHE3HLyGsI8DkK0yPaJj6-0j-XgF48/edit?usp=sharing.

Be sure you can see the tabs at the bottom of the sheet. If you cannot, minimize the window, and then maximize back to full screen.

Under the ‘Specific Producer Information’ tab, please find or enter your farm name, and update the ‘Current Products/Plan’ tab with any information you’d like local buyers to have regarding how you are selling in this changed market. This information will be made available directly to residents in the coming days.

The ‘Resources’ tab is also under construction and is being set up to have more tools are resources for you, the farmer, in regards to this situation. We hope to populate that with financial assistance information, technical assistance information, webinars and educational resources etc., so check back!
