4-H Horse Certificates Due in Extension Office

A Horse Identification Certificate needs to be filed for each horse being carried as a 4-H Horse Project with the Extension Office by 5:00 p.m., April 30 to be eligible to exhibit the animal in the Junior Division of the Kittitas County Fair.  The certificates need to be signed every year.  For a horse that will be used for the first time the leader or member may pick up a 4-H Horse Certificate C0233 form at the Extension Office.  This…

The second 4-H Horse Judging Contest will be held Saturday, May 5 at 4:00 p.m. at Bloom Pavilion.  Classes will be: English Equitation, English Pleasure, Bareback Equitation, and Showmanship with Oral Reasons on this class.

The following dates have been scheduled for county demonstrations: June 6        3 p.m.-5 p.m. June 14      3 p.m.-5 p.m. June 20      10 a.m.-3 p.m. June 28      10 a.m.-3 p.m. 4-Hers who would like to do their demonstration during the county event need to call Mary Matthews to schedule a time during one of these days.   If you are in need of another day, you will need to make arrangements with Mary.  Each member is allowed to do ONE County Demonstration…

Sheep & Goat Pre-Show and Judging Contest

The Sheep and Goat Weigh-In and Pre-Show will be held on Saturday, June 9 at the Kittitas County Fairgrounds in Bloom Pavilion.  This is a required event.  Youth are also reminded that they are required to turn in a PRODUCER SIGNED COPY of the Producer/Breeder Affidavit & Market Animal Health Record for each lamb or goat that they weigh. Swine Weigh-In
