Horsemanship & Safety Training Day
Horsemanship & Safety Training Day will be Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Manastash Room and Bloom Pavilion. This training day is opened to all 4-H Horse project members. Anyone in 4-H is welcome to attend. The emphasis for the training days will be on horse health care, safety, and show preparation. Kittitas County Llama/Alpaca Pre-Show/Clinic is scheduled for June 9, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Kittitas County Fairground in Bloom Pavilion. 1st 4-H Horse Judging Contest
The first 4-H Horse Judging Contest will be held Monday, April 2 at 6:30 p.m. at Bloom Pavilion. Classes will be: Quarter Horse Geldings Halter Class, Western Pleasure, Western Equitation with Oral Reasons on this class, and a horse parts worksheet. Junior members will need to match the number to the horse part. Intermediate and Senior members will need to write the horse part in.

The 4-H Bread Baking Contest is scheduled for Saturday, April 7, 2018, starting at 8:30 a.m. until everyone has finished, in the Ellensburg High School Home Economics room. The Bread Baking Contest is open to junior, intermediate and senior members in the Foods & Nutrition project.
