Ask a Master Gardener! Plant Clinic – WSU Pacific County Extension Office

The Master Gardeners of Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties will be hosting a Plant Clinic on Monday, April 14, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the WSU Pacific County Extension Office, located in the Courthouse Annex at 1216 W Robert Bush Drive in South Bend.

Common questions for the Master Gardener volunteers are:

• What plants grow best in the Pacific Northwest?
• What can I grow in the maritime environment?
• How can I test my soil?
• What will I have problems growing where I live?

To help us better diagnose a plant problem, please try to share as much of the following information as possible:

• The type of damage are you seeing and when it start
• The parts of the plant that are affected: flower, leaf, stem, fruit, etc.
• How is the plant watered and the amount and frequency of watering
• The location of the plant ; in a garden bed or in the lawn, next to a driveway or house, in full or part sun, the direction the plant faces, etc.

Sharing photographs of your plant problem, plant identification or insect identification is helpful. Please bring a sample if possible. To learn about preparing samples for diagnosis, please see Preparing Your Specimens for the Plant Clinic.
