Farm Funding Workshop

This workshop will feature presentations from three agencies aimed at providing farmers with resources for finding and applying for on-farm grants. Guest speakers include Pauline Chiquet (San Juan Islands Conservation District), Robin Buckingham (USDA- NRCS), and Ivy Fox (WSDA Local Food Infrastructure).

Farmers will learn to identify what funding is available to them, who to contact for different types of financing, and how to apply for specific funding programs.  Eligibility, timelines, and what to expect as a participant in these programs will be covered.  Farmers will learn about grant options for funding conservation practices through the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and San Juan Islands Conservation District (SJICD), as well as post-harvest infrastructure through the Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA).

Get the information you need to apply for grants this fall and in the coming year to help support your farm operation.
