Forefront Suicide Prevention invites you to our workshop on suicide grief. This workshop is for individuals, families or communities who are bereaved by suicide.

The workshop is also designed for anyone wanting to learn how to support a loved one or friend who is bereaved by suicide.

This workshop will shine light on concepts rarely discussed in our culture:

Are your experiences ‘normal’?

Will you find joy again?

What does useful support for a suicide loss survivor look like?

These and many other questions will be answered in this interactive two-hour session.

A resource list is made available to all participants.

This workshop brings together two presenters: a longtime grief counselor who shares her wisdom and experience, and a suicide loss survivor who shares her journey of grieving and learning, after her son died by suicide.

Charlene Ray MSW, LICSW, Forefront Suicide Prevention Trainer

Charlene Ray is a licensed independent clinical social worker and has been in practice as a therapist, mentor, and grief counselor for 35 years. Charlene teaches mindfulness in schools, facilitates Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for teachers and is a Forefront in the Schools coach.

Marny Lombard, MFA, Forefront Suicide Prevention Trainer

Marny Lombard is on Forefront’s training team. She entered the field of suicide prevention after losing her 22-year-old son in 2013. Today, she uses her lived experience to provide others with resources and wisdom that she did not have.
